M. Sain is a 20th century visual artist. He was born and brought up in Darjeeling, India. The Himalayan landscape, people portrait and culture played very prominent part in his creative journey.
Apart from taking photographs he was also an artist and authored several books on Nature.
M. Sain took early pictures of Darjeeling, Portrait of Sikkim girls and beautiful landscape. His lenses captured beauty significantly and they are now part of prominent archives in Europe and India. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including "Prayer flags in the Himalayas, looking towards Everest" sold at Christie South Kensington "Travel, Science, Natural History" in 2013.
